More Cats
Put me on the spot with a Sharpie, a stack of paper, and a room full of cat people, and fun is guaranteed. By the end of the day, the Stoopid Stick Cats had drifted toward fine art.

IIt has been a long, satisfying day. We set up a table at the 2026 CatFest in Calgary, saw some friends from last year, and made new ones with the tattoo studio across the aisle.
We came to test a hypothesis: are people into Krampus, cats, poetry, and a potential new family bedtime tradition? After watching people read Newton's (Jenn's) new book, it's a resounding yes.

My tiny role in today's adventures was Cat Poetry Hypeman and drawer of really "Stoopid Stick Cats." I'm very pleased with how people reacted to them, and with how they evolved over the day. It's funny. Put me on the spot, Sharpie™ in hand, paper at my fingertips, cat people for inspiration, and fun is guaranteed.
By the end of the day they'd drifted toward fine art.
A few people from last year even told me they'd framed the "Stoopid Cat Pics" I did for their cats. Framed.
I enjoyed the shit outta doodling today, and it was a great reminder of why I'm doing the 100 Days of Writing and Doodling. I'm only going to get better at both the more consistently I do them.
Tomorrow: More doodles. Next week? More words.
